On Crack for your Ears we recently featured the new release of Riton & Seji, turns out Joe Lea is the one responsible for this superb video clip. Joe Lea is a traditional 2d animation and Illustrator who is based and works in London (UK). He's been in the animation industry for 2 years and have recently gone freelance. We had a quick chat with him and turns out he's not your average Joe (okay that was lame...)
We're still looking for the exact location of candy land, but the tracks to there must be starting at Sweet Station. At Sweet Station.com you will be led to all the possible eye candy you can imagine. Responsible for all this goodness is the amazing Honey. In between being an art junkie and the rest of life she finds the time to provide us with the goods (not in the last place because she needs her daily art fix herself). Now we agreed that crack+candy is twice as addictive and joined forces! Coming time Honey will contribute to CFYE with write ups on interesting works of art, from contemporary to graffiti, and of course we advice you to visit sweet-station on a regular basis. But first, a proper introduction.
Frank Plant is an American artist based in Barcelona with an amazing skill.. He has the ability to bend steel to his own liking. It seems like he can make just about anything out of steel wire! We were supposed to do an interview with the good man a long time ago, but never got around to it. Recently our interest was sparked again when we saw a very interesting interview with Frank at sweet-station.com. Realizing that this man is not only a very skilled artist, but also a good writer and smart political thinker, it was about time we'd ask our own questions!
We quietly launched www.crackcircuittv.com a couple of weeks ago. On CCTV we will focus on motion and video, similar like shuttercrack.com but then with moving images. We will launch it big in the next couple of weeks but the blimp we hired was hijacked by Mongolian airspace pirates (cargo ships are so last year). Anyway it's again a new and exciting channel to discover cool creative people. Christoph Schaarschmidt is one of those people, he uses the art of Tilt Shifting to convert everything to a 1:300 scale. And as he explains you don't need expensive equipment to produce high quality videos like he does. That's how we like it, inspiring people with inspiring methods who are not afraid to share their works and thoughts.
For those who didn't already know, it's final. Lightpainting has got us sitting upright in our seats and has our full attention. Through our friend and crewmember Dana aka TCB we came in contact with Matt Crawford. Matt has gone trough the same journey we have: He discovered the world of lightpainting and got hypnotized by the lights. Now Matt and his crew are busy on a big project on lightpainting that will include a movie called 'luminary'. The movie is described as a 'gonzo documentary' about lightpainting. For this, Matt and the crew travel the world to show the work of numerous lightpainters/artists all around the globe. We want to know everything about this amazing project, and we will be following the crew in their progress. But first, a proper introduction. Welcome to the world of 'luminary'.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.
Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser.
The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
